What does an outsourced press desk cost for Dutch buyers in 2026?

An outsourced press desk means you pay per press release. Several providers publish their rates. ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release for Dutch trade and regional media, EUR 795 per release for national media via the ANP network, and EUR 999 per release to combine both.

For Belgian media through Belga, ANP Connect charges EUR 495 per release, and for the Netherlands plus Belgium together the price is EUR 1,395 per release. All these rates are documented on the ANP Connect tariffs page, read 31 August 2026. B2Press has a different set of rates for the Netherlands.

B2Press Basic costs EUR 400 per release, B2Press Wire costs EUR 750, B2Press Premium costs EUR 1,250, and B2Press Exclusive costs EUR 1,950 per release. Persberichtversturen.nl charges EUR 75 per release, and Verstuurmijnpersbericht.nl charges EUR 99 per release, both from the same source and date.

What does a licence for your own press desk cost for Dutch buyers in 2026?

A licence means you buy access to a journalist database and do the sending yourself. De Perslijst from PR-Dashboard is the main option with a public price. It costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins.

That price comes from the supplier product pages and the frequently asked questions page, both read 1 September 2026. The licence gives you access to the full database of Dutch and Flemish journalists. The vendor states the database holds thousands of journalists and covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, documented on this Dutch platform frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026.

The journalist database also includes a sending system for press releases. If you want to pay by the month instead of the year, that database is also available for EUR 350 per month, as documented on this Dutch platform page for government buyers, read 1 September 2026. The yearly price works out to EUR 1,325 per user per year for two users.

How do the costs of outsourcing compare with a licence on a per release basis?

The comparison depends on how many press releases you send each year. If you send one press release per month, that is twelve per year. At the cheapest per release rate of EUR 75 from Persberichtversturen.nl, twelve releases cost EUR 900 per year.

That is less than EUR 2,650 per year for the journalist database. At the ANP Connect rate of EUR 499 per release for trade and regional media, twelve releases cost EUR 5,988 per year, which is more. At the B2Press Basic rate of EUR 400 per release, twelve releases cost EUR 4,800 per year.

At the PR-Ninja rate of EUR 149 per release, twelve releases cost EUR 1,788 per year, still under EUR 2,650. The break even point for that database compared to PR-Ninja is around 18 releases per year. Compared to Persberichtversturen.nl at EUR 75 per release, the break even is around 35 releases per year.

Compared to ANP Connect trade and regional at EUR 499 per release, the break even is around 5 releases per year. Each press release provider publishes no public information about how many journalists the release reaches, so the comparison is on price alone. The pages we measured, 31 August 2026, did not document the reach numbers for any of these per release services.

Which providers publish public prices in 2026 and which do not?

Among the providers named in this comparison, several publish public prices. ANP Connect publishes its per release rates and yearly subscription rates. B2Press publishes its per release rates for the Netherlands.

PR-Ninja, Persberichtversturen.nl, and Verstuurmijnpersbericht.nl each publish a single per release price. Prezly publishes prices from EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month. Mynewsdesk publishes from EUR 220 per month.

Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month. This Dutch platform publishes EUR 2,650 per year for the journalist database, EUR 1,750 for that newsroom with no period stated, and EUR 2,700 for the inquiry desk with no period stated.

The remaining vendors in the measured set of competitors do not publish a public price. Those include Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, Presscloud, and pr.co. Their websites did not show a price page or a pricing section that we could read on that date. A buyer who wants to compare those providers must request a quote.

What does the yearly licence of the journalist database include compared to per release services?

That database licence at EUR 2,650 per year includes two logins. Each login gives access to the journalist database for the Netherlands and Flanders. The vendor states the database covers virtually all media in those regions, documented on the frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026.

The licence also includes the sending system to distribute press releases. You can send unlimited press releases within the licence period, as long as you stay within the two logins. The per release services do not state how many journalists are in their distribution lists on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026.

ANP Connect does publish that it uses the ANP news network and Belga for Belgian media, but it does not quantify the number of recipients on the tariffs page. B2Press states it offers country specific packages but does not document the list size for the Netherlands on the page we measured. The main difference is that a licence gives you control over the list and the sending, while a per release service handles the distribution for you.

the platform also offers the inquiry desk, a product for handling incoming press questions, at EUR 2,700 with no period stated, documented on the product pages read 1 September 2026. the platform also offers the newsroom product, an online newsroom on the customer's own domain, at EUR 1,750 with no period stated. These are separate products.

A buyer who wants a full press desk would combine that database with the inquiry desk and the hosted newsroom. The product pages do not document a bundle discount. The hosting and development for all the platform products takes place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as stated on the frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026.

How do yearly subscriptions from other providers compare on cost per user per year?

The comparison table below shows the cost per user per year for subscriptions that publish a price. That database is the first row. Mynewsdesk Essential at EUR 220 per month works out to EUR 2,640 per year for one user, as documented on the Mynewsdesk plans page, read 31 August 2026.

Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year for one user is higher. Presspage Enterprise full platform at EUR 35,000 per year for one user is higher still. Prezly Essential at EUR 100 per month works out to EUR 1,200 per year for one user, which is under the Amsterdam database price per user.

Prezly Standard at EUR 250 per month works out to EUR 3,000 per year for one user, which is above. Prowly at USD 258 per month works out to USD 3,096 per year for one user, and the vendor publishes no euro price, so it is shown in US dollars. ANP Connect Database only at EUR 2,990 per year, ANP Connect Complete at EUR 4,990, ANP Connect Bereik at EUR 9,990, ANP Connect Impact at EUR 15,990, and ANP Connect Strategie at EUR 30,000 per year are all above the journalist database per user per year.
